Smile please

Hi there, hope everyone is staying safe and dry.  This card is a make from another of  Crafter's Companion sale kits.  Say hello to the Makey Bakey Mice.  I think these critters are delightful.  It really is a super kit.
I used a previous sketch from Sketch Saturday, but was too late to enter.  I got my sewing machine out for this one.  Haven't done that in ages.  See you soon. Lynn x

Rudolph Day - January 2014

I decided this year that I would get ahead with some Christmas cards.  I only did my lovely Mom one last christmas, and no matter how hard I tried I either did not get much time to christmas craft, or my mojo went missing at crucial times - don't you find that happens?!  So here I am joining in for the first time with Sarn's Rudolph day over on her blog here.
The challenge is that you should make 2 cards, but only one post (she explains it much better on her blog).
As my contribution uses all snippets, apart from the card base, I shall be joining in at the Snippets Playground.  Embossing folder and sentiment are Crafter's Companion.  I shall be back soon with another make. Lynn x

What's a collection of bunnies called?!

Hi there, at last the weekend is in sight - such a busy week.  Here are a few more BeBunni cards I have made.  I think I might give them a rest now for a while and try something a little different.

I have tried the Crafter's Companion Centura Pearl card, and I have to say that it behaved very nicely and I do like it. You can see a little bit of the hint of silver in the bottom photo.  My balloons which are floating away were done by the Clearly Besotted die from the Birthday Wishes set.  Hope you have a good weekend. Bunny card

Hi there - I am still making my way through the BeBunni paper kit from Crafter's Companion.  It certainly making me think about creating my own designs rather than using sketches as a jump start.  At least I am learning!
I am not too sure about the banners or stitching - although the flash makes it look as though there is a light underneath the banners, lol.  That would be quite a special card, eh?!
Thanks for looking. Lynn x

Congrats Grad

Hello there, I have a Graduation card today, which I need for my son's girlfriend who graduates next month.
I have used the graduation colours, freestyle computer generated font, and image from google.  Matting is coredinations cardstock, and brads are Stampin Up.  I used the recent sketch from Freshly Made Sketches, but have missed the chance to join the challenge. Never mind, enjoyed using the sketch :-)

Another pinterest inspiration!

Hi everyone, welcome to a wet Saturday! (well, it is here, anyway, lol).  My card today comes from another card I pinned onto my Pinterest board, and here is my take on it.

It is a SU Vanilla base, and cordinations cardstock for layers, and DSP is Modern Medley, and stamps Style Beautiful by Stampin' Up.  (Sorry about the shadows, have put a new bulb in light that I use with photo lightbox, but it does not seem as good - throws a cream shadow.  Will try harder, lol.) Thanks for looking, and have a good weekend. Lynn x

Trying to get the mojo started

The idea for the above card came from Pinterest, which I had pinned to my board.  I used papers from Raspberry Road Designs (Love Lives Here) which were free in Quick Cards Made Easy magazine some time ago.

This card is a joy fold card which was in the QCME magazine in the card school (May 2013).  This used some papers from the Crafter's Companion BeBunni everyday range which I purchased in the sale to give it a try.  Good quality kit, but I think it is a bit too 'cutsie'  for me - but good value for selling for charity.

Mojo is still not quite up and running.  It took me ages to do these two cards! :-)
Happy crafting - hope you are doing better than I am, lol. Lynn x

A bit of DIY

Hi there,  hope you are having a good weekend.  Here is a piccie of a photo light box that my hubby made me.  I used it when I took the picture on my previous post - it works really well I think.

I used Pinterest as a source of information - isn't technology wonderful! - This uses three pieces of white foam board which we had stored away from when my son was doing his DT project.  It only cost me pennies for the baking parchment and a roll of invisible tape.  The back and sides are taped together so just folds away, and as you can see they just rest on the base, and the offcuts make up the lid.  I just use my desk lamp to shine through the baking parchment. Hope you like. Lynn x

2014

Happy New Year everyone, and I hope that whatever is in store for you this year, there will be much happiness and good health and fortune.  I have spent a lovely day with family, and this pic is of a little gift I have given  to my two (grown up) boys and their girlfriends.
It's a wibble wobble Santa, filled with sweets - but most importantly he is also a money box.  Just the job to get them all into the 'saving for a rainy day' habit.  A good new year's resolution, eh?, lol.  Have a happy day.
